Overall my kid said her self she would NOT go back there all they do is swim and arts and craft..
Traditional New England camp experience at an affordable price. My son loves it here.
My grandkids have gone here for over 10 years now and they always want to go back. They never stop talking about the amazing staff and especially the food. I love seeing them happy and this definitely puts those smiles I love on their faces.
This was our child's 4th year at Camp Putnam. It's an excellent Summer camp in a rural setting and a fixture in the community after 70 years of providing a nurturing place for kids.
*my kid ended up with HEAD LICE and I know kid's can get that anywhere but I really question if they clean or spray their bunk beds they had kids sleeping in (they dont even make the kids shower so that tells me right away how dirty they just are in general)!!!

This camp is just not a fit for my family.. It is one of the cheapest camps around too. I've should of known better..
I read the previous 1-star review with some skepticism. Our kid attended the last week of six sessions without issue and the camper's mattresses appeared to be constructed of the same impermeable, waterproof, vinyl material typically seen in military barracks to prevent this very issue from occurring.
*The bag of all dirty clothes had leech
*Kid's NEVER took a shower
*My kid came home with LOT'S of bug bits
As an employee and prior camper for over 10 years, I highly recommend Camp Putnam. The organization emphasizes the ideology of always doing what is best for kids! Always a new, fun, safe, and exciting summer experience for kids!
*Staff's were very RUDE
